SKA - Carnarvon High
The school are in partnership with the SKA to improve Mathematics and Science in our school. The school and the SKA have different programs in developing the learners and teachers to improve maths and science
Cyber Lab
The school was provided with a cyber-lab that consists of 42 computers, an interactive white board and a printer.
An optic fibre cable was provided and the SKA are in a process of connecting this cable to provide us with very fast internet connectivity.
Smart Labs
Our latest addition, are 36 laptops for our learners, another effort to improve learner achievement.
We receive this from smart labs with a teacher’s laptop and a printer with Wi-Fi connection to a server.
These learners are receiving Bursaries for their studies at Carnarvon high. The SKA pays for their accommodation at the Hostel, as well as their school fees. They receive a monthly stipend as pocket money.

Tablet Training
The educators from the High school as well as the surrounding schools were taken to Johannesburg during December 2014.
Teachers will receive computer training from smart labs during March. Training from the SKA, Smart Labs as well as INTEL were given in the pass.
